Dr. Woods actively supports various family and education-focused organizations that are dedicated to giving back to their communities and aiding young people in need. While we provide ongoing support to numerous small organizations, we also focus on several key groups.

Our journey began with the creation of our Black Soap, as Dr. Woods’ vision was to produce top-quality skincare products sourced globally but made in the United States. Our Black Soap is a unique all-vegetable soap made from plantain skins, a highly renewable natural resource. Likewise, our shea butter is harvested from the nut of the Karite tree, which is indigenous to West Africa. Our organic fair-trade shea butter specifically comes from the African Savannah.
